WIRELESS LAN TECHNOLOGY AND AUTOMATION IDENTIFICATION DATA COLLECTION

The combination of real time and accurate data collection through the use of AIDC and Wireless LANs provides the best of both technologies for today's mobile workforce and enterprise systems.

This educational course is designed to show the student how to understand, design and implement Wireless LAN and AIDC technologies. These are now being used in warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, medical and retail environments to improve the efficiency of the overall operation and to create a competitive advantage.

AIDC combined with Wireless LN technologies provides one of the most accurate and timely means of data collection in use today. The courses are divided into 8 educational modules covering the most popular AIDC and Wireless LAN technologies. The course will also cover the IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN standard, which is an open wireless solution, used throughout the world. This standard provides mobility as well as essential network services where wire line installations proved impractical.

Course Objective

The objective of the Wireless LAN Technology and Automatic Identification Data Collection course is to provide detailed knowledge in AIDC and Wireless LAN design using 8-step module approach. Each step is a progressive educational building block allowing the student to obtain a thorough knowledge of AIDC and Wireless LAN technologies with various applications.
